Vapor lock
Vapor lock is a condition when gasoline vapor forms somewhere in the fuel system of a vehicle, reducing or stopping the flow of fuel to the engine.
Vapor lock is caused by fuel volatility being too high for the operating conditions of the vehicle.
Vapor lock is avoided by controlling fuel volatility, essentially the vapor pressure and distillation profile of the fuel.
