SECA

Also known as: Sulfur Emission Control Areas

SECAs are regions of the world where the International Marine Organization has established special low sulfur emission limits for ships.

Current SECAs cover the coastal areas of Europe and North America and limit sulfur content in marine fuels (or equivalent emissions) to less than 0.1% sulfur.
