Jet A-1

Jet A-1 is the standard international grade of commercial aviation turbine fuel (jet fuel).

Jet A-1 has a lower freeze point than Jet A (the grade commonly used in the US), which is better suited to high-altitude intercontinental flights, especially over polar regions.

Jet A-1 fuel must meet the following standards:

  • DEF STAN 91-91
  • ASTM specification D1655
  • IATA Guidance Material (Kerosene type), NATO Code F-35
