Crude slate

Also known as: Crude diet

The crude slate for a refinery is the mix of different crude grades that the refinery is running.

It is common for a refinery to have a crude slate including many different crude grades, and for the slate to change over time as market conditions (crude availability and pricing) change and the refinery re-optimizes the slate to maximize profitability.
