Stream day

Stream day is a method of defining a refinery or process unit's processing capacity. Stream day considers the maximum throughput that a plant can achieve for a single day, ignoring any slow downs or outages for maintenance or operational considerations.

This is in contrast to calendar day, which factors in typical limitations on throughput to give a more accurate indicator of expected average available capacity over an extended period of time.
